About EANNASO

EANNASO is a regional network of national networks of Civil societies and community based organizations in seven Eastern Africa Countries, namely: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and Southern Sudan. EANNASO secretariate is based in Arusha, Tanzania.

About EANNASO Membership

Membership of EANNASO is made up of National Networks of AIDS Service Organisations in the Eastern Africa region.
Ordinary members of EANNASO are the National Networks of AIDS Organisations who became members in their own right by virtue of being the National Networks in the member country.
Associate membership of EANNASO is constituted by regional thematic networks, who apply for and are accepted for membership. Application for Associate Membership is made in writing to the EANNASO board Chairperson. Once the letter is received it is discussed in a board sitting and approved by the EANNASO Board and ratified by the General Assembly
The Board extends honorary membership to corporate bodies, prominent individuals or any other associations in the world who have made a positive contribution to the regional or otherwise in matters related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support.

Civil Society Engagements

Brokers and links CSO beneficiaries to technical support providers through needs assessment, developing appropriate response plans

Health Policy Advocacy

Advocates for legal and policy frameworks, rights based and gender equality approaches to access health services in East Africa.

Knowledge Management & Learning

Develops & Promotes a Regional Learning Platform for exchange of knowledge on HIV prevention and related matters among the CSOs

TB Challenge Facility For Civil Society In Tanzania

Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) was established by the Stop TB Partnership in its Global Plan to Stop TB 2016-2020.

This approach challenges the traditional biomedical approaches to TB and calls for integrated and comprehensive responses to TB that are patient-centred and include strong partnerships with communities and civil society. .
